In an apparent Japanese speed war, the Nissan GT-R is currently the quickest thing out of of Tokyo to take on the fabled German Nurburgring. However, Honda CEO Takeo Fukui won't stand for it. His demand: the Acura NSX must slay the Nissan beast.

So, what does the NSX have under the hood? According to Edmunds Inside Line, the NSX is packing a 550 horsepower, 420 lb/ft torque, 5.5 liter V10 with a 8 speed paddle-shift automatic.
As for current lap times, the NSX is not quite up to par with the GT-R. Unofficial lap times for the NSX around the Nurburgring are coming in at 7:37, which is just short of the GT-R's 7:29. Keep in mind though, these numbers are not official, nor is the car in production form, currently the NSX running laps is a camoflaged prototype.
